Lawyer linguist profiles always fall under AD (Administrator) section. They could even be hired at a higher level than the other candidates in order to make the post attractive since it comes with the proviso that anyone recruited as a linguist lawyer must not quit for three years or perhaps even more, if specified. This includes transferring to another EU institution.
A lawyer- linguist candidate must have a degree or diploma in law. They must also be fluent in and have a good command over at least two or more languages to be eligible for this post. The Council of Ministers, European Court of Justice and the European Parliament are the institutions that usually recruit most of these lawyer – linguists. However, lawyer -linguists are required to some extent in all other EU institutions.
