Pre-selection tests are given to EU career competition applicants if there are more than 600 of them. Participants need to take this test to be considered for the Assessment Centre. In case the total number of participants does not reach 600, EPSO does not require this exam anymore but instead a pre-screening process courtesy of the Talent Screener.
Included in the pre-selection tests are abstract, Situational Judgment Test, verbal and numerical reasoning. For those competing for Assistants, additional tests given are accuracy and precision and organizing and prioritising. In the pre-selection tests, the language used is Language 1. However, in Situational Judgment Test, Language 2 is used.
