EPSO/AD/293/14 Competition Announced In Five Fields of Expertise

EPSO is organizing open competitions – EPSO/AD/293/14 –  for administrators (AD 7) in the following fields:

  • Competition law (27 successful sought candidates);
  • Corporate finance (14 successful sought candidates);
  • Financial economics (25 successful sought candidates);
  • Industrial economics (15 successful sought candidates);
  • Macroeconomics (30 successful sought candidates).

The EPSO computer-based admission tests will be organized by EPSO only if the number of candidates exceeds a certain threshold which will be set by the Director of EPSO, as the appointing authority, after the deadline for applications. The threshold can vary from one field to another and you will be informed of the precise details via your EPSO account.

At the preselection stage, your responses to the questions relating to the general and specific conditions will be processed and then taken into consideration to determine whether you can be included in the list of candidates who fulfill all the conditions for admission to the competition. The selection board will then use the Talent Screener to select the candidates that best match the duties and selection criteria set out in this notice.

Within the Assessment Centre you will sit three types of assessment tests, the content of which is validated by the selection board:

  1. The reasoning ability will be assessed by a verbal, numerical and an abstract reasoning test (unless it was already organized as preselection test).
  2. A structured interview based on your competencies in the field and on the information provided in the ‘Talent Screener’ tab of your application.
  3. Your general competences will be assessed by a case study, a group exercise and a structured interview.

The deadline for the application, including the validation process is 25 November 2014 at 12 midday (Brussels time).
